Responsible for the development, design layout and installation of a new liquid color and plastic extrusion process to be used in the manufacture of liquid and plastic colorants. Master’s degree or the equivalent in Industrial Engineering or a related field. 2 years experience in industrial engineering in a liquid & plastic colorant environment, to include: design and modification of manufacturing processes for compounding pigments, resins and additives, lean techniques (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Value Stream Map and JIT,) six sigma tools, Root cause analysis, Conducting site safety compliance audits, evaluating workplace safety and making recommendations for improvement, Implementing DOE, Reliability, CapacityPlanning and statistical concepts (Regression Analysis, Hypothesis testing, and ANOVA,) Process mapping, process improvement and control, time and motion studies, process failure modes and effect analysis (PFMEA), and deployment of extensive cost cutting measures, Performing VSM and make recommendations to reduce the cycle time. Six Sigma Green Belt, Certified by the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
